I wish someone told me that when you try something, it might not work out even if you work really hard, and that's perfectly okay.
I wish life didn't have any previously conceived notions, such as you go to high school and then you go to college and then you get a great job. Sometimes that doesn't happen. But all you can do?

About me
My name is Melissa, and I live in Connecticut with my parents and my younger brother. I work as a cashier in a grocery store, I love to read and I love being an aunt.
I have cerebral palsy and here are some obvious questions that I receive.
* Don't you want another job?
Let's see, given that I am highly educated I wouldn't say that my goal in life is to be a cashier. I just choose to be positive about it.
*You look tired
I am tired! Don't tell me about it. It doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy.
Do you want a boyfriend?
No, never in my life have I thought about it! Seriously? Of course! Just because I don't talk about it doesn't mean I don't want it.
